DATE AND PLACE
The walk is on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
The in-person walk will take place at the Robert E. Bell Middle School in Chappaqua, New York, across from New Castle Town Hall, 200 South Greeley Avenue. Registration opens at 1:00pm. All walkers must check in at the registration tent and sign a waiver. The opening ceremony will begin at 1:30pm and the walk will begin immediately following the ceremony. Late arrivals are welcome to join the course at any time.
Virtual walkers are invited to attend the live stream of the opening ceremony at 1:30pm. The link for the livestream will be available on the home page beginning one week before the event.
REGISTRATION
All walkers must register online to participate. Walkers are asked to raise funds for the Epilepsy Research Fund at the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. All donations will go directly to the Epilepsy Research Fund. Online registration closes on June 1st at midnight. On-site registration is available on the day of the event.
All registered walkers will receive a commemorative Together We Walk t-shirt. T-shirts for in-person walkers can be picked up at the registration tent. T-shirts for virtual walkers will be mailed approximately one week before the event. Please register early to ensure that your t-shirt arrives on time.
ROUTE
The in-person walk route is a mostly flat stroll through downtown Chappaqua. The route consists of a one-mile loop that will be repeated three times for a total of 5K. Police assistance will be available at traffic crossings. The route is suitable for walkers of all abilities. Walkers are welcome to complete as many laps as they feel comfortable. Virtual walkers can choose their own route and distance.
PARKING
Free parking is available in several parking lots throughout downtown Chappaqua. Please see the route map for parking information. Parking will not be available at the Bell Middle School parking lot on South Greeley Avenue.
FINISH, FOOD, AND FUN
There will be an on-site refreshments table with water, Gatorade, and light food. Drinks will be available to walkers as they complete each lap. There will be music and kid-friendly activities including face painting and temporary tattoos at the finish-line festival. Bring the whole family and help raise awareness.
